Is Aspartate Aminotransferase to Alanine Aminotransferase (De Ritis Ratio) Helpful in Predicting Breast Cancer?

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: De Ritis ratio (aspartate transaminase/alanine transaminase) may be a useful prognostic biomarker for certain malignant tumors. However, the predictive value of before treatment in preoperative staging patients with breast cancer is unknown. This study aimed to evaluate benign and diseases investigate it cancer.
Methods: Retrospective analysis was made clinicopathological data 301 disease treated between April 2017 2020 single center. 64 Patients were excluded from due chronic illness or incomplete data. The relationship findings evaluated patients. Mann Whitney U test Kruskal Wallis used comparisons groups. Results: Of total 237 patients, number 96 141. No statistically significant results determined groups, respect pre-treatment evaluation as factor molecular subtyping, tumor diameter, lymph node metastasis, Ki 67 index.
Conclusion: It concluded that examined not an independent diagnosis staging.

Unusually high alanine aminotransferase to aspartate aminotransferase ratio in a patient with cyproterone-induced icteric hepatitis.

A 70-year-old man with prostatic adenocarcinoma received cyproterone acetate 200 mg per day. Three months later, mild fatigue and anorexia with elevation of the alanine aminotransferase (ALT) level to 1311 U/L, total bilirubin level to 14 mg/dL and prothrombin time of 15/11.9 seconds developed. At that time the aspartate aminotransferase (AST) level was only 82 U/L. Viral hepatitis and autoimmu...

Optimization of methods for aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase.

Conditions for accurate measurement of catalytic activity of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in human serum have been reinvestigated. The basic variables (kind of buffer, buffer concentration, pH, ion effects, and the influence of pyridoxal-5-phosphate) can now be considered optimized. On this basis, the kinetic parameters of both aminotransferases were determined, i.e.,...

Alanine aminotransferase/aspartate aminotransferase ratio reversal and prolonged prothrombin time: a specific indicator of hepatic cirrhosis.

BACKGROUND Both ALT/AST ratio reversal (AST/ALT > 1) and prolonged prothrombin time are separately related to hepatic cirrhosis. Ratio reversal means that in normal individuals ALT is more than AST and thus ALT/AST > 1 but with development of cirrhosis AST becomes > ALT and so AST/ALT > 1 or ALT/AST < 1. This study was conducted with the idea that prolonged prothrombin time and reversed (AST/AL...

Serum alanine aminotransferase/aspartate aminotransferase ratio is one of the best markers of insulin resistance in the Chinese population

BACKGROUND The alanine aminotransferase (ALT)/aspartate aminotransferase (AST) ratio is reportedly associated with insulin resistance (IR). However, few studies have explored the relationship between the ALT/AST ratio and IR in the Chinese population. Here, we aimed to explore whether the ALT/AST ratio is associated and, if so, to what extent, with IR in the Chinese population as categorized by...

Alanine aminotransferase/aspartate aminotransferase ratio is the best surrogate marker for insulin resistance in non-obese Japanese adults

BACKGROUND The aim of the present study was to examine how liver markers are associated with insulin resistance in Japanese community-dwelling adults. METHODS This cross-sectional study included 587 men aged 58 ± 14 (mean ± standard deviation; range, 20-89) years and 755 women aged 60 ± 12 (range, 21-88) years. The study sample consisted of 998 (74.4%) non-obese [body mass index (BMI) <25.0 k...
